Gandikota

Gandikota often referred to as the  Grand Canyon of India  is a tiny village that's

right on the bank of Pennar River. There is a gorgeous downhill trek that goes

through the canyon leading up to the riverbed. Visit the historic Gandikota Fort and

the Madhavaraya Swamy temple and soak up the magnificent views from Gandikota

The closest place from where you can take a bus ride to Gandikota is the old bus

stand in Jammalamadagu; a nearby town. Therefore, to reach Gandikota, you need to

Araku Valley

Pollachi is located in vicinity to Coimbatore and umpteen trains run to Coimbatore from every part

Tharangambadi/Tranquebar

The place of singing waves....this sun filled beach town is a truly unusual holiday destination. It was a Danish colony from 1620 to 1845 and there are lots of magnificent examples of Danish architecture and heritage here along with restaurants that serve delectable Danish cuisine. The jewel in its crown is the proud Dansborg fort but there are otter lovely attractions like the governor's palace, an old cemetery and of course the sun-kissed beaches. What's more, Tanjore is nearby and Pondicherry is not far too. So this can become a week-long holiday plan.
