Madikeri Fort
A place for the history lovers, the first Madikeri Fort was constructed in the 17th century by Muddu Raja and has been rebuilt from granite by Tipu Sultan at 1790. Close to the fort is a museum that shows lots of Tipu Sultan's possessions in addition to artifacts from the British era.
Talakaveri Wildlife Sanctuary
Home to plethora of animals such as tigers, leopards, jackals, porcupines, giant flying squirrels, cobras, pythons and more, this wildlife sanctuary situated near Coorg get its name from Talakaveri, the source of the Cauvery river. It's also a perfect spot for hiking.
