Beaches in south India. Anybody who has traveled a little in India will tell you that, sometimes being landlocked is just not enough for a good vacation. You need a good beach to truly relax and cool off; after all, a woman relaxing as she reads a book on a beachside is the best representation of a vacation for a reason.

While we all know how amazing the beaches of Goa are, we often miss out on an amazing opportunity to discover lesser known beaches, and that such a shame! Not to say that Goan beaches shouldn't be mentioned, in fact, we refer to many of them on this list.   Not all beach vacations are made equal. Some beaches are crowded, some difficult to reach, some too popular among the younger, rowdier crowd; so this time, why not go for a holiday that takes you to a beach that may be more suited to what you are looking for!

It's home to some of the most beautiful beaches in India, and Morjim beach can compete with any of them when it comes to the tranquil peace and calm it offers. It is home to many species of birds and is even famous as a hatching site for Olive Ridley turtles. Come here for the peace and isolation it offers, as you unwind from your busy life and let the sea kiss your feet.
