OVERVIEW

Munnar literally means the land of 3 Rivers, colloquially Mun means Three and Aar means rivers. It is a small hilly town, with the 3 rivers converging. The town is famous for both flora and fauna and this town has shades of colonial influence. After enjoying Munnar drive down to the plains and get to see exotic backwaters of Alleppey/Kumarakom.

ITINERARY

Day 1 : COCHIN/MUNNAR (140 Kms/ 5 HRS)

Pick up from Cochin Airport/ Ernakulam Railway Station. Drive to Munnar. Munnar is a quaint hill station perched on the slopes of Western Ghats . It is both charming and old fashioned, with colonial style buildings existing with modern structures. Stop at Cheeyapara water falls enroute to Munnar. Munnar is indeed a photographer’s delight. Overnight stay at Hotel in Munnar

Day 2 : MUNNAR LOCAL SIGHT SEEING

After breakfast, proceed on a full day tour of Munnar attractions. The Horticultural Garden, Photo point, Mattupetty Dam and Kundala Dam are all located on the route to Top Station. Kundala Dam is known for the Arch type architecture. Echo point on the lower slopes of the region is a picturesque spot where you would find your voice echoing and thus derives the name Echo Point. All the above places are well worth a visit. With tourist having a flair for culture - they can spend their time in the evening at the Punarjani Traditional village (Optional activity), where they get to see a piece of Kerala culture in the form of Kathakali Dance and Kalari pattu - a form of ancient martial arts, a visual treat to the eyes. Overnight stay at Hotel in Munnar

Day 3 : MUNNAR/ALLEPPEY or KUMARAKOM

After breakfast, from the mountains to the plains drive down the country side and get a glimpse of the picturesque country side. Set out on an enchanting backwater cruise in traditional Kerala Houseboat. While cruising in the House Boat enjoy the scenes of the country side - skim past bowed down paddy fields, duck farms and indigenous dykes to see paddy cultivation in fields, situated below the sea level ! and tree lined and coconut palms swaying majestically on the banks are a real treat to the eyes. Overnight stay at houseboat in Alleppey or Kumarakom with all meals.

Day 4 : KUMARAKAM or ALLEPPAY /COCHIN/(140 Kms/5 Hrs)

After breakfast, check out from the Houseboat and return to Kochi. Places prior to reaching the Airport/Train station will include visit to Fort Kochi and Mattancherry to taste a piece of ancient civilisation of the 15 and 16th century . There after, get dropped to board a train/flight for onward destination, feeling contended of a holiday you enjoyed in Kerala with lasting impression of a life time. The tour ends here.

This tour can be booked by a minimum of 2 persons up to 10 persons. We do not recommend add others to this tour. It will be you and your family or friends traveling in this tour by private vehicles only.

We offer the following categories of hotels:

Platinum – 5 Star Hotels

In cities where the categories are not available the lower category will be provided and rates have been taken in our costings for the lower categories.

You can choose from some of our most popular readymade programs or we can tailor a program just to suit your specific requirements. Alternatively, when you tailor your own tour, you can begin and end your journey from any City you choose within India.

This is a very exclusive way of discovering India. You have the choice of touring in a Sedan Car for up to 2 to 3 pax or in a Multi Purpose Vehicle (MPV) for 3-5 Pax. Our Experienced Chauffeurs will take care of all your needs for the duration of the tour. All Sightseeing Tours are on a Private Basis.

We can provide you an English Speaking Guide or any other language that you may require for all your Guided Tours at additional cost upon request.

Your Chauffeurs will offer you the greatest degree of flexibility, as he will be able to accommodate your needs and changes to your schedule even on short notice.

All our vehicles are fully air-conditioned, constantly maintained and are of the highest standards. All Chauffeurs are fluent in English(some other local languages) and have extensive experience in touring knowledge of their area.

Vehicles will be at your disposal from 0800hrs to 2000hrs daily. You may take regular stops and breaks at your leisure whenever or travel to places you would like to visit nearby.

2-3 Pax Silver / Gold customer will be travelling in Sedan vehicle and Platinum customer in MPV vehicles.
