ITINERARY
Day 1 : Nairobi
Arrival of your flight at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, met by our team outside the customs
and immigration hall. Transfer to the Southern Sun Mayfair Hotel for check in and safari briefing. Overnight
Day 2 : Nairobi - Masai Mara
Drive via Narok to the Maasai Mara National Reserve offering wonderful scenery and plenty of game. It is perhaps the only region left in Kenya where the visitor may see animals in the same super-abundance as existed a century ago. With over 450 species of bird. Explore the plains and rolling hills for a chance to spot the elephant, black-manned lion, leopard, buffalo, cheetah, and with diverse species of hoofed animals. The road traverses beautiful countrysides dominated by acacias, ancient volcanos, tribal villages and herds of domestic stock. Arrive for check in, lunch and relaxation. Afternoon game drive, dinner and overnight
Day 3 : Masai Mara
After breakfast, Day spent game-viewing in the reserve. With over 450 species of birds and abundant large mammal species. Explore the plains and rolling hills for a chance to spot the the images of your dreams ranging from beautiful scenery to fascinating views of wildlife, in a natural habitat. Morning and afternoon game drives or a fullday game drive with packed lunches would take you closer to nature. All meals and overnight at the camp.
Day 4 : Masai Mara - Lake Nakuru
Breakfast and check out of the lodge. Scenic drive to the Lake Nakuru National Park famous as the home to thousands of lesser and greater flamingo. Lake Nakuru is one of the alkaline Rift Valley lakes and a fantastic bird sanctuary, its shores populated at times by more than one million flamingoes. The famous ornithologist Roger Tory Peterson defined it as “the greatest bird spectacle on earth. Other wild animals found in this park include the rhino, Lion, Cheetah and the most elusive of the cats, the Leopard. Arrive for check in and lunch. Relaxation, afternoon game drive in the park and around the saline lake. Dinner and overnight
Day 5 : Lake Nakuru - Aberdares
After having the breakfast, drive via Nyahururu to the Aberdares, a beautiful mountain range in the central highlands of Kenya. Wildlife include the lions; usually more hairy and spotted than on the plains, leopard and serval cat, the latter often seen on the moorlands and sometimes in its melanistic state. Birds are not only dazzling but also plentiful. The crowned eagle (which eats monkeys) is everywhere and the forest echoes to the shrill cries of the Silvery-cheeked hornbill. The resplendent sunbirds are well represented, among them the brilliant metallic violet Tacazze, the emerald green Malachite Sunbird and on the moorlands the Scarlet tufted Malachite Sunbird, with its very long slender tail. Lunch at the Aberdares Country Club and transfer to THE ARK LODGE for game observation, dinner and overnight.
Day 6 : Aberdares - Laikipia county
Breakfast and check out of the lodge. Transfer to the base hotel to meet your driver guide and continue your safari. Leisurely drive to Nanyuki and arrive for check in and lunch at the Fairmont Mount Kenya Safari Club. Afternoon at leisure to participate in optional activities like mini golf, horse rides etc. All meals & overnight
Day 7 : Laikipia county - Nairobi
Early morning game drive, breakfast and depart for Nairobi. The further you drive the more you of people and vehicles as the wilderness gives way to periurban and urban habitations. Arrive at Kenya’s capital for lunch at the Haandi Restaurant (vegetarian) or similar. Transfer to the airport for your Flight.
