Aurangabad
Aurangabad is named after the Mughal emperor Aurangzeb. The city is a tourism hub, surrounded by many historical monuments, including the Ajanta Caves and Ellora Caves, which are UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
Ajanta Caves
The caves include paintings and rock cut sculptures described as among the finest surviving examples of ancient Indian art, particularly expressive painting that present emotion through gesture, pose and form.
Ellora
Ellora is one of the largest rock-cut monastery-temple caves complexes in the world, and a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Maharashtra, India. The site presents monuments and artwork of Buddhism, Hinduism and Jainism from the 600-1000 CE period.

ITINERARY
Day 1 : Aurangabad
Meet on arrival at Aurangabad Airport and transfer to hotel. Relax and later proceed for City tour of Aurangabad. Overnight.
Day 2 : Aurangabad - Ajanta Caves
Breakfast and proceed for full day Excursion to Ajanta - (closed on Monday) these 2nd century caves are fine achievements by Buddhist monks. Beautiful frescoes, wall paintings and vivid sculptures reflect the peak of ancient Indian art and architecture. The horseshoe shaped gorge has 30 caves dividend in two phases. Return back to Hotel. Overnight.
Day 3 : Aurangabad - Ellora Caves - Pithalkora
Breakfast and proceed for sightseeing of Ellora Caves (closed on Tuesday) - UNESCO World Heritage site, one of the finest examples of rock cut caves , there are 34 caves, Cave 16 is the most famous and has Lord Shiva sculpted on the rocks-the largest monolith in the world. After Ellora Caves, further proceed for Pithalkora caves are about 78 kms, from Aurangabad. The intricate work on the sculptured facades in these caves is definitely worth to visit. Return back to Hotel. Overnight.
Day 4 : Aurangabad
Breakfast check out to The Daulatabad fortress was an old Hindu stronghold originally called Devgiri Fort. Emperor Mohammed-bin-Tughlaq captured and plundered it on 13th century and made it the second capital of the Delhi Sultanate renaming it as Daulatabad. It is famous for its series of trick defenses, secret escape routes etc. Bibi-ka-Maqbara, built in memory of Aurangazeb’s wife Rabia Durrani. Panchakki or Water Mill, an ingenious creation of Mughal engineers who used it to harness water to run large grinding stones which served as a flour mill. Later proceed to Airport to board the flight for onward destination. Tour Ends.
