Location:
The
resort is situated in the scenic lush green midlands of Kerala in the
District Palakkad, the major rice growing region of Kerala, a land of
peace and tranquillity.
Only Ayurveda guests are allowed in the resort.
Ayurveda here is practised in its true traditional form so that your
stay is totally dedicated to your health. Only very experienced
Ayurveda doctors will treat the guests. After a detailed check-up on
the arrival day the individual treatments will start, followed by
intensive medical care during your whole stay. Kairali, today owned by Mr. K. V. Ramesh and his wife Ms. Geeta Ramesh,
hails from a family of traditional Ayurveda physicians, who have
devoted themselves over the past three generations to the research and
development of Ayurvedic Medicines. Kairali Pharmaceuticals are part of
the family enterprise as well as own Ayurveda centres in various
locations in India and abroad. The resort is favoured by VIPs from all
over the world.

Rooms:
The 30 well-appointed cottages in traditional Kerala architecture are
furnished with air-condition, TV, telephone and a refrigerator. Each is
unique in its design by using locally available raw materials like
black granite, clay and country made bricks.
A white conch places in the bedrooms ensure the retention and flow of
positive energy. Each cottage is named after Malayalam astrological
signs.

- The multi-cuisine restaurant serves healthy wholesome food under supervision.
- All items are made from organic vegetables grown in Kairali`s own garden .
- Kairali has its own dairy for the production of its own Ayurvedic medicines.
- In the herbal garden grow a variety of Ayurvedic plants which can be explained by the Ayurveda doctor on request.

Some examples of therapies:
Panchakarma Therapy means
rejuvenation of the body with 5 different Ayurvedic treatments in form
of oil massages, steam and herbal baths, Shirodhara (gently flowing
liquids over the forehead) and synchronically massages, helping to slow
down the aging process. The mixtures are dependent on individual
disorders of the patient, his body constitution, age and the
climatically conditions at home. More than 1.500 different oils in
various combinations are existent.
Body Purification Therapy
eliminates daily morbid toxins (coffee, tea, and alcohol, fat) from the
body. Prior to Panchakarma (see above), Purvakarma is administered as
"Snehanam" and "Swedanam". Snehanam means "Oleation" and "Swedanam"
means sweating, i.e. the oil application and sweating therapy helps in
bringing the toxin into the digestive tract for elimination.
Therapy for a better well-being and a better somatic condition (Kayakalpa chikitsa)
Massages with oil and herbs combined with special Ayurvedic medicines
and a strict diet. The therapy is effective towards regeneration of the
somatic energies, rheumatic disease, insomnia and skin disorders. The
massages strengthen the antibodies, purify the body system, reduce
fatigue symptoms and reduce stress.
Therapy for Beauty Care and Eye Care (Rasayana chikitsa)
Special beauty therapy takes care of pimples, wrinkles, acne, sagging
of the skin and falling of hair. The oil nourishes and cleanses the
tissues to make the complexion glowing and youthful, smoothes wrinkles
and enhances beauty. The eye care treatment helps in relieving tension
in the eye which causes poor eye sight, pain, fatigue; it brings lustre
to the eyes and smoothes away wrinkles.
Therapy for Arthritis, Rheuma and Spondylitis There are a number of massages like "Pizhichil", "Navarakizhi", "Dhara", "Sirovasthi" and "Elakizhi" each for specific ailment.
Perspiration Therapie (Sweda karma): The
body is administered a steam bath with assorted herbs for 10 - 20
minutes, until strong perspiration occurs. This is followed by Massages
with hands and feet that help improve the blood circulation and
strengthen the muscles. The result will be elimination of body toxins,
improvement of the skin structure, reduction of fat, control of blood
circulation and a good sleep. The therapy is also advised for rheumatic
diseases and pain .
